Preserving Local Sports History
The Youngpreneur Academy is undertaking an exciting new project to preserve a valuable piece of our local sports history: the SGHS Basketball Video Archive. This collection includes approximately 35 games from the 90’s, featuring boys’ and girls’ basketball teams from all the schools in the 2A region in South Carolina that competed against the Saint George High School Eagles. Among these cherished memories is a championship game, making this archive even more special.

Access for All Counties Involved
The video archive program will be accessible to all counties involved in the VHS recordings of 90s 2A basketball games. This includes Dorchester, Berkley, Charleston, Orangeburg, Colleton, and all high school 2A schools in the Lowcountry. Students from these counties will be able to join the Digital Dreams app development program and access other resources. The only initiative at Youngpreneur Academy currently limited to the tri-county (Dorchester, Berkley, Charleston) is the Empowerment Kit, due to funding constraints. With proper resources, we aim to expand this statewide.
